Dreamers and out-of-the-box thinkers were our target demographic on October 13th, 2024, when Dark ‘n’ Light hosted our first offline event, Untethered Cities, in collaboration with Converging Miinds. A Futures Literacy Lab facilitated by Siddhi Ashar and Kushal Sohal, the workshop aimed to conceptualise and explore unexpected and audacious possibilities for our collective futures, and the future(s) of the city of Bengaluru in particular.
A room full of some of the brightest minds in the city — creatives, activists, writers, lawyers, business people and, most importantly, dreamers, gathered on a busy Sunday morning at Bangalore International Centre.
The participants discussed everything from infrastructure to cultural integration to the reclamation of lakes, all with an eye towards creating a more equitable and sustainable future for the residents of Bengaluru. We encourage you to read more about the event from Siddhi and Kushal’s perspectives.
Also part of the workshop was Adrija Ghosh, a talented designer and illustrator, who created a fascinating zine from her learnings and observations. We invite you to read the zine, and download and share it with anyone you think might be interested.
